Problem Note 66908: The DBIDIRECTEXEC option is not supported when you are using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC or the META engine
When you use SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC or the META engine with the DataDirect SQL Server ODBC driver, and you specify the DBIDIRECTEXEC option, the following note is written to the SAS log:
NOTE: The DBIDIRECTEXEC option is not supported for this engine.
This note appears after you try to use the DBIDIRECTEXEC option to process CREATE TABLE AS SELECT, INSERT INTO TABLE, INSERT INTO VALUES, UPDATE, and DELETE statements for the SQL procedure.
The following code syntax can create this issue:
options sastrace=',,,d' sastraceloc=saslog nostsuffix sql_ip_trace=(note,source) msglevel=i;
options dbidirectexec;
libname libodbc meta library="libodbc" metaout=data;
proc sql;
delete from libodbc.zipcode where statename="state-name";
quit;
